Dear family and friends,
We love being here in the West Indies Mission and feel truly blessed to experience this new adventure in our life and getting to know the wonderful people and culture of Suriname.
Here is some information about Suriname. : http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/1893.htm
Here are some pictures from our mission here in Suriname. The couple infront of the church are 2 young members planning going on a mission & the other 2 were recently baptized. The other picture of us is with a young couple who are investigating the church .
We are doing fine in Suriname and we have the best elders from the West Indies here, they are like the son’s of Mosiah. This month we had 11 people baptized and the mission goal for Suriname ( total of 5 branches ) is 20 per month and 1000 for the whole West Indies mission. It is just beginning to grow fast, we feel grateful being part of the Church history of Suriname. The people are so nice and humble we had a very warm welcome here and the food is delicious. The climate is hot ( 30 degree Celsius average ) and very humid . Nature is beautiful, we’ve never seen these kind of colorful flowers, variety of fruit and birds!
The church is making a big difference in people lives and they really need the gospel, what will change their lives for the best.
We miss our family and our friends but we know that this is what we need to do right now. We wish you all the best and hope to hear from you!!!
Sranangron is the Surinam language, God be with us Suriname = Opo kondre man oen opo!
